This game is definitely worth buying if you're into hidden object games. And while I love Amazon the developer sells this version for 6.99. Catch the "this version"? There is another one. It's called the collector's edition and available only to members of Big Fish Games, the developer. It's the same price as what this one sells for here but has a built in strategy guide, a couple more scenes and behind the scene material. It also has objects that morph from one object to another (spoon to bowl to spoon) and various achievements.
Fantastic series especially from Ravenhearst to Dire Grove. Definite must buy! This is a hidden object game and an adventure game combined. I really like hidden object games but to be frank the old type gets boring. This takes it up a notch and has 'point n click' - pick up an item then combine with other items or use it somewhere later in the game. Also a nice amount of puzzles thrown in. Nice amount of time - not too short and not too easy either - quite logical with the items and requres some thinking for puzzles which is refreshing.
For those a fan of hidden object this is a must play game, and if you pick up like I did cheaper - it's worth the price.
Love it!!! I have several HOG games. Bought this game last week and can't stop playing it. Some games are so frustrating/boring but not this one. It has so many different rooms and locations that it keeps you interested. A definite must have if you like these sort of "mystery/hidden object games. Great graphics and music/sound effects too. I really enjoyed this game. I bought it after reading the other reviews and found them to be quite accurate (thank you all). You can play as a novice or expert, depending on how much help you think you'll want/need. For novice, the Help button replenishes in 1 minute; for expert, in 2. I played novice and really had fun. Now I'm going to redo it in expert mode.
The "object finds" were fairly easy but challenging, and the puzzles were easy, too. I like my games to move fast, and this one does. There is a map in the on-screen book that lets you see all the rooms and allows you to transport throughout the house, and it even lets you know which rooms have some sort of action that you can take.
There are enough twists and turns in finding the items that link everything together that the game keeps it fun. You do have to remember where you might need an object in the future. Enjoy! My antivirus Webroot gave me no problems with this game whatsoever. It had no virus or otherwise downloaded with it from Amazon. The game has some of the most beautiful sceneries and music I have seen. I love Oberon Media's work with PC games. You'll enjoy these games if you want to unwind and be entertained & challenged at the same time. The last game was anticlimactic...abrupt close and NO murderer identified. Try Sherlock Holmes games...they are best for all of the above and you get to determine the guilty party.
Finally, a good practice is to run scans (Malwarebytes is best)and then your antivirus on the downloaded game while it is in the download folder and BEFORE installing. This will likely root out trojans/viruses/spyware and hopefully prevent an infestation.
Upon download of this bundle McAfee auto quarantined a file needed to run the Death on the Nile game McAfee stated it was a Trojan & did not give the option to NOT quarantine though I could have restored it! I checked the McAfee site & it listed several similar Trojans which began with the name Artemis! I did try to reinstall from the game but McAfee pounced again, I am not going to restore the file to play Death on the Nile though until I hear from McAfee, the EXACT Artemis! file (with several numbers after it) is NOT listed on the site but there are so many why take a chance.
The other 2 games Dead Man's Folly & Peril at End House are pretty good, the graphics are nice though the puzzles are a bit simple & I am not a fan of the "comic strip" sections the various areas in the game are well done, I think it is a good deal even being able to play only two games but I would of course NOT download it if I new there was a possible Trojan, I do want to check with McAfee to see if this is legit & will post here if it turns out ok. There are plenty on hidden object games you can choose to play like the popular Hidden Chronicles today. You can enjoy more Hidden Chronicles using Hidden Chronicels Cheats.
